Setup
Install Todoist MCP in your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and others).

Follow the installation instructions in the repository README, then restart your MCP client.
Connect thisModel Context Protocolserver to your LLM to interact with Todoist.
It supports all the APIs available from theTodoist TypeScript Client.
You must install theClaudedesktop app which supports MCP.
You can get your Todoist API key fromTodoist > Settings > Integrations > Developer.
Then, in yourclaude_desktop_config.json, add a new MCP server:

You can now launch Claude desktop app and ask to update Todoist.
