Setup

Install Logfire in your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and others).

Follow the installation instructions in the repository README, then restart your MCP client.

- Query recent traces and spans— Ask your assistant to retrieve recent traces and their spans from Logfire usingget_traces_and_spans.
- Find spans by trace ID— Useget_spans_by_trace_idto fetch all spans belonging to a specific trace for detailed inspection.
- Execute arbitrary SQL queries— Run custom SQL against your Logfire data withexecute_sqlto analyze metrics, logs, and spans.
