Setting up with Highlight
This MCP is not yet compatible with Highlight’s one-click setup. However, you can still use it with Highlight by following these steps:
- Download and install Highlight from highlightai.com/download
- Navigate to the plugins tab and select "Add Custom Plugin"

From the repository
Obtain a Stakpak API key from your account on Stakpak’s website. Install the server via npx @stakpak/mcp@latest and set the STAKPAK_API_KEY environment variable. Configuration examples are provided for Claude Desktop (claude_desktop_config.json), Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json or global command), and Windsurf (mcp_config.json). The server exposes one tool: generate_infrastructure_code.

A MCP server that connects to Stakpak API.
Usage
Stakpak API Key
Before using the MCP server, you'll need to obtain a Stakpak API key. You can get your API key by:
1. Visiting Stakpak's website
2. Logging into your account
3. Going to your profile and navigating to the API keys section

Development
To set up the development environment:
1. Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/stakpak/mcp.git
cd mcp
2. Install dependencies:
bun install
3. Build the project:
bun build
4. Install the MCP server globally:
npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector node <path-to-your-build-file> -e STAKPAK_API_KEY=<your-stakpak-api-key>
5. Add the MCP server to your project:
