Setting up with Highlight
This MCP is not yet compatible with Highlight’s one-click setup. However, you can still use it with Highlight by following these steps:
- Download and install Highlight from highlightai.com/download
- Navigate to the plugins tab and select "Add Custom Plugin"

From the repository
Start the server with node build/index.js. The server exposes five tools: create_task, list_tasks, delete_task, update_task, and complete_task. For debugging, use the MCP Inspector by running npm run inspector.

Running the Server

Debugging
Since MCP servers communicate over stdio, debugging requires additional tools. We recommend using the MCP Inspector.
To start the inspector:
npm run inspector
