Setting up with Highlight
This MCP is not yet compatible with Highlight’s one-click setup. However, you can still use it with Highlight by following these steps:
- Download and install Highlight from highlightai.com/download
- Navigate to the plugins tab and select "Add Custom Plugin"

Plugin Name
Mail Client MCPCommand (node, npx, python, etc.)Please refer to the README for specific instructions on how to obtain API keys or other required environment variables.
- Enable "Start Automatically" if you want the plugin to start when Highlight launches
From the repository
Clone the repository, install the uv package manager, then run uv sync to install dependencies. Configure the MCP server by adding the provided JSON block to your Claude Desktop or VS Code MCP settings using stdio transport.

Installation
1. Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/gamalan/mcp-email-client.git
cd mcp-email-client
2. Install uv
Linux/MacOS
curl -LsSf https://astral.sh/uv/install.sh | sh
Windows
powershell -ExecutionPolicy ByPass -c "irm https://astral.sh/uv/install.ps1 | iex"
3. Install dependencies:
uv sync
