To test MyBacklinks inside ChatGPT, enable developer mode in ChatGPT, then create a connector with:

- Connector name: MyBacklinks
- Description: Manage backlink projects, resources, opportunities, submissions, infrastructure servers, and SEO analytics.

ChatGPT discovers OAuth metadata from/.well-known/oauth-protected-resourceand/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server, then links the user's MyBacklinks account with authorization-code + PKCE OAuth. Usehttps://chatgpt.com/connector/oauth/{callback_id}as the production redirect URI shown in ChatGPT's app management page.

For a faster setup, you can use CLI commands to add the MCP server directly:

These commands automatically update the respective configuration files.

When you first use the MCP server, your AI client will automatically:
- Discover OAuth metadata from/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server
- Open a browser for you to log in with your MyBacklinks account
- Store the token securely for future requests

No manual setup required—just configure the URL and start using it!

MyBacklinks also has optional Cloudflare Agentic Payments-style support for controlled agents such as Hermes, Cloudflare Agents SDK clients, or private MCP clients.

When enabled on the MyBacklinks server, paid MCP tools return HTTP402 Payment RequiredwithPAYMENT-REQUIREDandWWW-Authenticate: Paymentchallenges before the tool runs. A capable x402 / MPP client can pay and retry the call.

- It is disabled by default and does not affect normal OAuth/API Key usage.
- It is an extra payment proof after MyBacklinks authentication, not a replacement for account authorization.
- Real facilitator, wallet, and MPP session verification are deployment-specific and are not required for the default public MCP setup.
- This is intended for private/controlled agents, not for selling MyBacklinks credits inside public ChatGPT Apps.
