Install secEdgarMCP in your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and others).

If you see a permissions error, runsudo usermod -aG docker $USERand re-login.

The repo ships a.mcp.jsonyou can edit in place — it already has both entries.
view_filingaccepts either a directurl(primary-document URL fromget_recent_filings) or aform_typeto auto-resolve the latest filing. It strips inline XBRL and CSS before rendering.
