Setting up with Highlight

This MCP is not yet compatible with Highlight’s one-click setup. However, you can still use it with Highlight by following these steps:

  1. Download and install Highlight from highlightai.com/download
  2. Navigate to the plugins tab and select "Add Custom Plugin"
  3. Configure the plugin with the settings below
    Plugin Name Anomalyarmor
    Command (node, npx, python, etc.)

Please refer to the README for specific instructions on how to obtain API keys or other required environment variables.

  4. Enable "Start Automatically" if you want the plugin to start when Highlight launches

From the repository

Connect via remote (recommended) with OAuth 2.1, or locally by installing the Python package (pip install armor-mcp) and providing an API key. For remote, add the server URL https://mcp.anomalyarmor.ai/mcp to your client. For local, configure uvx with the armor-mcp command and set the ARMOR_API_KEY environment variable.

Claude Desktop / Cursor

Paste into your MCP client config file to install this server.

AnomalyArmor MCP Server

Data observability for engineering teams. Connect any MCP client (Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop) and interact with your data warehouse through 53 structured tools: query alerts, monitor freshness, investigate schema drift, configure validity rules, and trace lineage in natural language. Supports Snowflake, BigQuery, Postgres, Databricks, Redshift, ClickHouse, MySQL, SQL Server, AWS Athena.

Two ways to connect

| Method | Auth | Best for | |--------|------|----------| | Remote (recommended) | OAuth 2.1 (Clerk) | Zero install, always up to date | | Local | API key | Air-gapped, custom proxies |

Remote — Claude Code

``bash claude mcp add anomalyarmor --transport http https://mcp.anomalyarmor.ai/mcp `

Remote — Cursor

~/Library/Application Support/Cursor/mcp.json: `json { "mcpServers": { "anomalyarmor": { "url": "https://mcp.anomalyarmor.ai/mcp" } } } `

Local

Get an API key from <https://app.anomalyarmor.ai> → Settings → API Keys.
`bash pip install armor-mcp ` `json { "mcpServers": { "anomalyarmor": { "command": "uvx", "args": ["armor-mcp"], "env": { "ARMOR_API_KEY": "aa_live_..." } } } } `
